ABOUT LESLIE
Being an interior designer for the past 20+ years has been a blessing. I remember distinctly the feeling I got when I sat in my first design class at UCLA Extension. It was fun, interesting, challenging and it felt right. 20+ years later I still feel the same. It has always been a big part of who I am. My mom was a talented interior designer & my grandfather a carpenter, so I'm sure it was in my blood.
My design approach has always been to do a lot of listening. Effective communication is essential. I work hard at helping my client's visualize the project as it is being designed and executed. Regardless of the style I draw most of my inspiration from nature, travel and past design. I love educating the client to the possibilities that can unfold.
Throughout my career I've done many homes that I'm very proud of, but I feel my biggest career achievement is that most jobs end with hugs of thanks and referrals. Recently I've moved to the Ventura area - where I don't know many people - and so I've decided to enter the world of web sites and Facebook in hopes of reaching new clients.
In my free time I'm combing flea markets and estate sales, walking my dog or riding my bike by the beach, traveling to Europe with my wonderful husband, spending time with my two grown daughters, doing pottery and rooting for the Dodgers. Life is good.
